1. Using the Teams APP​

Supports access and use of SHIELDrive through the APP in Teams.

Add SHIELDrive app​

  • The steps to add the SHIELDrive app to Teams are as follows.
    1. Access the Microsoft Teams admin center.
    2. Log in with your Microsoft administrator account.
    3. Activate the Microsoft Teams admin center menu and click on [Teams apps] - [App management] in the left menu.
    4. Activate the [App Management] page and click "+ Upload New App" in the top list.
    5. The "Custom App Upload" modal window is activated, and the "Upload" button is clicked.
    6. Select the SHIELDrive app file and upload it. (*SHIELDrive Agent file is required.)

SHIELDrive app update​

  • The method to update the Teams SHIELDrive app is as follows.
    1. The SHIELDrive app file information is updated to a version different from the currently applied version after making changes.
    2. Activate the Microsoft Teams admin center menu and click on [Teams apps] - [App management] in the left menu.
    3. Search for SHIELDrive in the search bar.
    4. Click on the SHIELDrive app in the list to go to the details page.
    5. Upload the newly created zip file using the "Upload File" button.
    6. The SHIELDrive app has been updated, and you can see that the version information has changed after refreshing.
    7. When updating the app, changes can be checked within 5 minutes on web Teams and within 72 hours on app Teams.

2. Using Message Extension​

Through Message Extension, you can conveniently share files from SHIELDrive in Teams.

  • Message Extension can be used in the [Posts] Tab and [Chat] within Teams channels.
  • In the [Post] tab, you can share files related to the SHIELDrive Teams channel, while in the [Chat] you can share all files from SHIELDrive.
  • You can attach and share up to 6 files.

3. Creating a Tab​

You can create a SHIELDrive Tab with storage information within Teams.

  1. Click the "+" located at the top of the Teams [Channel] page.
  2. When the "Add Tab with SHIELDrive Storage Information" modal is activated and the "Save" button is clicked, a SHIELDrive tab will be created. (*Storage name, storage type, and storage description are fixed values.)
